Challenge

A major consumer electronics manufacturer wanted to increase the efficiency of its recycling program for aluminum drums from copiers, which it currently handled internally. After customers returned the drums in cardboard packaging, employees then unwrapped the drums and threw away the packaging, a labor-intensive and time-consuming process.

Solution

Customers now ship the wrapped drums directly to AGS, which set up a demanufacturing line and recycles 100% of the product and packaging.
